Description
American Traveler is seeking a Certified Respiratory Therapist for a night shift position requiring BLS and ACLS certification along with ICU, general floor, and ED experience.
Details
- Respiratory Therapy department providing cardiopulmonary services to inpatients and outpatients
- Covers ICU, general floors, and ED, with minimal NICU and Peds exposure sufficient to support ED needs
- Night shift schedule, 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, 3x12s
- 13-week assignment
Requirements
- Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) through the National Board of Respiratory Care
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of experience
- ICU, general floor, and ED experience required
- License required if applicable
- No certifications expiring within the first 30 days of start
- No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Follow medical staff-approved protocols and department policies to deliver timely diagnostic and therapeutic services
- Assist physicians with invasive and non-invasive procedures
- Deliver medicated aerosols via medical compressed gas
- Maintain airways, manage ventilators, perform intubations, and draw blood gases
- Radius rule in place: candidates residing within 50 miles will not be considered local travelers
- RTO requests must be less than one week
- Travelers who worked as permanent staff at any Community Health Systems facility within the past 2 years will not be considered
