Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a night shift position requiring RRT/CRT credential, RCP license, and 2+ years of recent critical care experience.
Details
- Acute care medical center with Level IV trauma center and Level II intensive care nursery services
- Provides respiratory care services for adult and geriatric patient populations
- Night shift schedule, 3x12s with no set days of the week, 1700-0530
- No call requirements
Requirements
- NBRC-RRT or NBRC-CRT credential required
- Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required in CA, if applicable
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of recent critical care experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Candidates must not have any prior adverse licensure actions
Additional Information
- Performs basic and critical respiratory care services with ability to work independently and provide delegated supervision
- Administers aerosol and oxygen therapy and maintains patient charts
- Draws arterial blood gases per policy and physician order
- Provides ventilator management for patients
- Assists with department recordkeeping and participates in training and supervision of new employees
- Completes documentation in electronic medical records, flow sheets, and charges for each patient
- Accepts local candidates at the same rate as travel positions
- Candidates with more than 5 days of requested RTO will not be considered
- Candidates can only be submitted to one hospital within the Adventist Health system at a time
