Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring CA licensure, NRP, and Level II NICU experience.
Details
- Work in the Labor and Delivery unit of an acute care medical center with Level II intensive care nursery services
- Labor nursing experience required with Postpartum experience preferred
- Level 2 NICU experience required for day shift
- Day shift, 12-hour shifts from approximately 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM
- Schedule of 36 or 48 hours per week
- Eggplant colored scrubs required; provided if needed
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NRP
- Intermediate Fetal Monitoring experience required
- NICU experience required
- Experienced labor nurse required
- BSN preferred
- Acute care facility experience preferred
Additional Information
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for assigned patients according to established standards and the nursing process
- Supervise and direct activities of assigned nursing staff and coordinate care across disciplines
- Collect and analyze patient assessment data to determine diagnosis and care plans
- Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team to provide safe, healing, and humane care
- Provide patient and family education and participate in discharge planning
- Delegate duties appropriately and coordinate care among healthcare team members
- Accepts local candidates at the same rate as travel positions
- Candidates with more than 5 days of requested RTO will be automatically declined
- Candidates with any prior adverse licensure action will not be considered
