Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring NRP, Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, and ACLS certifications in a Level II nursery setting.

Details

• Labor and Delivery unit within an acute care medical center with Level II intensive care nursery services
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 6:15 PM to 5:45 AM
• Scheduled for 36 or 48 hours per week
• Labor experience required, with Postpartum experience preferred
• Eggplant colored scrubs required unless provided by facility

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Current ACLS certification required
• Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• Intermediate Fetal Monitoring experience required
• NICU experience required
• Experienced Labor nurse background required
• BSN preferred
• Acute care facility experience preferred

Additional Information

• Delivers coordinated nursing care for assigned patients according to established standards and the nursing process
• Supervises and directs activities of assigned nursing staff and coordinates care with other disciplines
• Collects and analyzes patient assessment data to determine diagnosis and care plans
• Collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare providers to deliver safe and compassionate care
• Provides patient and family education and participates in discharge planning
