Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Acute position requiring a CA RN license, ACLS certification, and EPIC experience.

Details

• Work in the Med/Surg Acute 1 unit of a 50-bed acute care medical center with a level IV trauma center
• Day shift schedule, 0500-1730, 36 hours per week with weekend rotation
• Solid color scrubs required for the unit
• EPIC EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• PALS certification preferred for first contract but required if extended for additional contracts
• Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty required, with recent experience in the specialty within the last 3 months
• BSN and acute care facility experience preferred

Additional Information

• Delivers coordinated nursing care for assigned patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process
• Supervises and directs activities of assigned nursing staff and coordinates care with other disciplines
• Collects and analyzes patient data to determine diagnoses and care needs, and develops and implements care plans
• Collaborates with patients, families, and the healthcare team to provide safe, humane, and caring treatment
• Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care
• Provides education and health information to patients and families
• Accepts local candidates with no radius restriction, and local rates are the same as travel rates
• Candidates with more than 5 days of requested time off will not be considered
• Candidates with a prior adverse licensure action will not be considered
