Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Home Health RN with OASIS and HCHB proficiency to provide skilled nursing care to geriatric patients in a home health setting.

Details

• Home Health setting serving an adult geriatric patient population
• Caseload averages 5-7 patients per day
• Monday through Friday schedule with one weekend required every 4 weeks
• Minimum of 30 points required weekly
• On-call rotation may be required
• Territory covers up to a 60-mile radius from the office hub, with flexibility expected
• All charting must be completed by 9am the following morning

Requirements

• Active WA or compact RN license required, must be in hand prior to consideration
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum of 1 year of recent relevant Home Health experience required
• OASIS experience required for staff completing Start of Care (SOC) assessments
• Proficiency in HCHB (Homecare Homebase) EMR required
• Active driver's license and personal transportation required
• Skills in wound care, medication administration and management, pain assessment, IV and subcutaneous administration, and phlebotomy

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include admission assessments, recertification, resumption of care, routine visits, and start of care documentation
• Provide integumentary and wound care, medication management, and infection control precautions
• Timely communication and documentation practices are mandatory
• iPad provided for charting and documentation
• Mileage reimbursed at the IRS standard rate
• Scrubs of any color required, no jeans permitted; no cell phone use
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Former permanent employees must be separated for a minimum of 6 months and approved by HR before returning as a traveler
• Travel pairs accepted, but each traveler is assigned their own territory and must have personal transportation
• Local candidates accepted at the travel rate
• RTO must be submitted at the time of application
