Description
American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a MO or compact RN license and Level III trauma experience.
Details
- Work in the Emergency Department of an acute care hospital with Level III trauma designation
- Patient population includes trauma, sepsis, stroke, chest pain, and abdominal pain cases
- Administers common drips including Diltiazem, Heparin, Insulin, Propofol, Cleviprex, Levophed, and Amiodarone
- RNs are responsible for reading telemetry strips
- Charting completed through MEDITECH Expanse, including Telepsych documentation
- Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts per week
- Required to work 3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
Requirements
- Active MO or compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience required
- Minimum Level III trauma experience required
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, and CPI
- CPI certification may be obtained onsite
- Preferred certifications: NRP and ENPC
- MEDITECH EMR experience preferred
Additional Information
- Provide emergency nursing care across a broad range of trauma and acute presentations
- Holiday coverage required for 1 holiday and 1 holiday weekend during the assignment
- Shift requests are submitted to a scheduler and reviewed by management for approval
