Description
American Traveler is seeking an Orthopedic Outpatient Physical Therapist with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week assignment at an offsite outpatient clinic.
Details
- Offsite outpatient physical therapy clinic setting
- Focus on orthopedic patient population, primarily adults and geriatric patients (minimal pediatric cases, rarely under age 10)
- Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm with no call or weekend requirements
- Uses Cerner EMR
- Travelers will work 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's), with holiday time off considered but not guaranteed
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of physical therapy experience required
- BLS certification (AHA) required
- CA PT license required if applicable
- Active state or compact licensure required; pending licenses not accepted
- Competency in physical therapy for adult and geriatric patients required
- Strong documentation and time management skills required
- Driver's license copy required for consideration
- Two supervisor/peer professional references required, one within 12 months and one within 3 years of employment, including dates and rehire eligibility
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include patient assessments, individualized treatment planning, therapeutic interventions, and effective documentation
- Completes evaluations within 48 hours of initiation per department protocol
- Provides patient and family education and training as part of treatment plan
- Collaborates with multidisciplinary team and physicians regarding treatment plans and patient status
- May delegate to and supervise support staff and students within scope of practice
- Expected to meet departmental productivity standards
- First-time travelers may be considered
- Candidates must not have been directly employed by any facility associated with CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity Health within the past year
