Description
American Traveler is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist with 1+ years experience for a day-shift role focused on orthopedic rehabilitation.
Details
- Outpatient clinic setting with a primary focus on orthopedic rehabilitation
- Additional exposure to geriatric and neurological patient populations
- Potential for a blended role across outpatient, acute care, and inpatient rehabilitation settings
- Average of 10-12 patients scheduled per day, typically 8-11 seen
- Typically 1-3 evaluations per day with the remainder being follow-up visits
- Appointments scheduled in 30 and 45 minute durations
- Monday-Thursday 9:00 AM-5:00 PM, Friday 8:30 AM-5:00 PM
- Uses Epic EMR
Requirements
- License required if applicable
- Compact PT license must be in hand at time of submission
- Minimum 1 year of experience required
- BLS certification required
- Outpatient orthopedic experience preferred
- Acute care or inpatient rehabilitation experience also considered
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Community hospital experience preferred
- Spanish language skills preferred
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include evaluation, treatment, and documentation of orthopedic, geriatric, and neurological patients
- May float between sister facilities near the contracted site
- Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- All time off and scheduling requests must be submitted up front; post-offer requests may not be granted
- 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
- Former Providence employees may return after a 3-month waiting period
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility if returning as a former employee
- Accepted at a lower bill rate for local candidates within 50 miles
- First-time travelers are not considered for this role
