Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring VA or compact licensure and fetal monitoring certification.

Details

• Level 3 OB unit within a 175-bed acute care hospital
• Unit includes 3 L&D beds, 9 OB beds, 14 nursery beds, and 3 intermediate nursery beds
• Low patient volume with fewer than 15 deliveries per month
• Night shift schedule from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Float to Nursery and Post-Partum required, including floating if units close due to low census
• Uses Meditech EHR
• Patient ratios follow A1 Guidelines
• General OB unit equipment used

Requirements

• Active RN license (VA or Compact) required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP, Intermediate Fetal Monitoring or above, and STABLE for nursery
• Minimum 1-1.5 years of L&D and Nursery nursing experience required
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• AHA certifications required

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care across both Labor & Delivery and Nursery units
• Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for the assignment
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere on a full-time basis while on assignment
