Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Intermediate Care (IMC) unit, requiring EPIC experience and at least 1 year of IMC/telemetry nursing experience.
Details
- IMC/PCU/stepdown unit setting
- Night shift, 3x12 hours, 19:00-07:30
- 1:3 patient ratio
- Float required
- Every other weekend required
- EPIC charting system experience required
Requirements
- Active TX or Compact RN license required
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of relevant nursing experience required
- EPIC charting system experience required
- Skills in respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, ventilator management, chest tubes, and HFNC
- Skills in IV therapy including central line, PICC line, and peripheral line management
- Experience with cardiac drip management and telemetry monitoring
- Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and rapid response/code team involvement
- Experience with insulin drip titration and IV insulin protocols
- Experience managing patients with seizure disorders and substance withdrawal
Additional Information
- Provide care for patients requiring intermediate/stepdown level monitoring
- Responsibilities may include care of patients with cardiac, renal, respiratory, and neurological conditions
- Navy blue scrubs required; not provided by facility
- Candidates residing within 90 miles are considered local and eligible for a lower local rate
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- RTO limited to no more than 5 non-consecutive days, with only one holiday RTO request allowed during Nov-Jan
