Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN for a 13-week day shift assignment requiring Epic charting experience and a TX or compact RN license.

Details

• Operating Room unit within a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
• On-call responsibilities include one full weekend per month and two weekdays per month
• Holiday coverage required
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required, ACLS preferred
• Minimum 1 year of Operating Room experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Military-issued certifications accepted; AHA preferred; ARC not accepted
• Surgical skills across multiple specialties may be required, including gynecology, neurology, orthopedics, general surgery, cardiovascular, urology, and robotics procedures
• Experience with surgical equipment such as cell saver, electrosurgical units, and Steris systems may be required
• State-issued ID required for consideration

Additional Information

• Scrub and assist in a variety of surgical procedures across multiple specialties including general, orthopedic, neurology, gynecology, and robotic surgeries
• Participate in emergency management protocols including fire safety, malignant hyperthermia response, and code response
• Local candidates residing within 90 miles are accepted at a lower bill rate
• RTO requests limited to 5 non-consecutive days, with only one holiday RTO request approved during the Nov-Jan holiday season
• All RTO must be approved by management prior to contract signing
• First-time travelers are not considered for this position
