Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist with 1+ year of recent cath lab experience, open to first-time travelers, for a day shift role with on-call and weekend requirements.
Details
- Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab setting
- 3x12 (6:30 AM-7:00 PM) or 4x10 (7:00 AM-5:30 PM) day shifts, 36 or 40 hours accepted
- On-call required, approximately 8 weeknights and 4 weekend 24-hour shifts per 6-week schedule
- Weekend shifts required, inclusive of pre-scheduled on-call requirements (4 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule)
- Holiday coverage required as scheduled and as part of on-call rotation
- Floating required within the specialty/department as needed within scope
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of recent, strong cath lab experience required
- ARRT-R and/or RCIS certification accepted (license required if applicable)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Experience with cardiac cath lab procedures including diagnostic catheterizations, left and right heart catheterization, PCI, PTCA, IABP placement/removal, and rotablator atherectomy
- Ability to recognize life-threatening arrhythmias and interpret dysrhythmias
- Experience with equipment set up, room circulating, and scrubbing to maintain a sterile field
- Proficiency with isolation precautions and PPE
Additional Information
- First-time travelers will be considered for this role
- Locals accepted at a reduced rate
- Manager may request an interview
- Responsibilities include cardiac implant closure device procedures, stent placement, and percutaneous coronary interventions
- Candidates must be comfortable floating within scope with no scheduling restrictions
