Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath/EP Technologist with 2+ years of interventional radiology experience skilled in Cardiology and at least one of Neuro, Vascular, or IR.

Details

• Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab plus Electrophysiology (EP) Lab setting
• Hybrid OR room utilizing Siemens Artis Pheno equipment, GE Innova IGS also used
• 5x8 hour day shifts, Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM
• Call requirement to be determined based on skill set
• Traveler will work across two hospital locations within the same health system
• EPIC EMR experience preferred

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in interventional radiology/cardiac cath lab
• BLS, ACLS, ARRT (R) required
• State license required if applicable
• Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Skilled in Cardiology and at least one of the following: Neuro, Vascular, or IR
• Experience with vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose)
• Skilled in procedures including left/right heart catheterization, PCI, PTCA, cardiac stent placement, IABP placement/removal, diagnostic catheterizations
• Experience with hemodynamic monitoring, EKG lead placement, and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Hybrid OR and vascular surgery experience preferred

Additional Information

• Perform procedural responsibilities including equipment set up, prep access site, scrub and maintain sterile field, and room circulator duties
• Responsibilities include EP studies, cardioversion, pacemaker insertion, and venous access procedures such as central venous lines care and maintenance
• Maintain strict adherence to isolation precautions, PPE, infection control, and sterile technique
• Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout all procedures
• Accepts local candidates at the same rate
• Former employees eligible for assignment after 6+ months away from the facility
• Current employees are ineligible for travel assignments at this health system
• RTO must be submitted with application and built into the contract, limited to 7 days or less
• Two professional references required, including at least one from a manager/director or supervisor; charge RN acceptable for second reference, no coworker references accepted
