Description

American Traveler is hiring a Progressive Care Unit RN for a night shift assignment requiring ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke certifications.

Details

• Progressive Care Unit (Intermediate Care Unit) within a hospital setting
• 34-bed unit staffed with 44 team members including RNs, charge nurses, and CNAs
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 13-week assignment length
• 4 weekend shifts required per schedule
• Floating to Med/Surg required

Requirements

• Active RN license (TX or compact) required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Progressive Care or related specialty
• Knowledge of non-titratable drips (amiodarone, Cardizem) preferred
• Tracheostomy care experience preferred
• No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care within a progressive/intermediate care setting
• Royal Blue scrub attire required
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered
• High performer with resiliency, accountability, and integrity preferred as best personality fit
