Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department night shift contract requiring TNCC, ENPC, ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications with a TX or compact license.

Details

• 13-week contract assignment in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekend commitment of 4 shifts per schedule
• No on-call requirements
• Patient ratio of 4:1
• Uses Meditech EMR
• 32+ bed unit staffed with CNCs, RNs, Medics, and PCTs across shifts

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, ENPC, TNCC, and NIHSS, all must be in hand by start date
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start
• No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration (no Canadian SSN accepted)
• One professional reference required

Additional Information

• Perform emergency department procedures including lumbar punctures, intubations, TNK administration, laceration repair, suture removal, and splinting
• Work alongside a team-oriented staff that anticipates patient and department needs
• Dress code requires navy blue scrubs with a navy blue zip-up sweater; pullover sweatshirts are not permitted
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates will not be considered
