Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring TNCC, ENPC, and NIHSS certifications with no call responsibilities.
Details
- Work in a 32+ bed Emergency Department at a hospital facility
- Patient ratio of 4:1
- Uses Meditech EMR system
- 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- Weekend shifts required (4 per schedule)
- No on-call requirements
Requirements
- Active TX or compact RN license required
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, TNCC, ENPC, and NIHSS required by start date
- Minimum 1 year of recent ED experience required
- Candidates with more than 2 years of experience preferred
- No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Perform procedures including lumbar punctures, intubations, TNK administration, laceration repair, suture removal, and splinting
- Team environment values strong collaboration and anticipating patient and department needs
- Dress code requires navy blue scrubs with optional navy blue zip-up sweater; pullover sweatshirts not permitted
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility as local candidates are not accepted
- First-time travelers may be considered
