Description
American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN - Telemetry with 2+ years acute inpatient tele experience and Epic proficiency required.
Details
- Med-Surg Telemetry unit (3SE) with 24 beds
- Patient ratio of 6:1
- CRN and discharge nurse support, with weekday pharmacist coverage
- RN reads telemetry; no titration required
- Mixed diagnosis patient population
- Uses IV/PCA pumps, wound vac, and glucometer equipment
- Skills required include trach care, feeding tubes, CPAP, wound vac, and dialysis assessment
- Night shift, 6:45pm-7:15am, 3 days per week, 36 hours weekly
- Every other weekend required
- Uses Epic EMR
Requirements
- Active RN license (Indiana or Compact) currently in hand
- Current certifications: BLS and NIHSS
- Minimum 2 years acute inpatient telemetry RN experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required
Additional Information
- Responsible for assessing, developing, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams and patient families to support care needs
- Provides patient and family education throughout stay and at discharge
- Delegates tasks to licensed and non-licensed staff and serves as a mentor/preceptor
- Participates in quality, safety, and service process improvement initiatives
- Complies with regulatory standards and practice governance model
