Description
American Traveler is seeking a Pediatric Physical Therapist with a Bachelor's in Physical Therapy and current PT licensure to join a pediatric therapy team.
Details
- Outpatient pediatric therapy annex setting
- Schedule consists of three 12-hour day shifts per week, totaling 40 hours
- Includes 6 weekend shifts within a 6-week period
- No holiday shifts or floating required
- Treats patients with orthopedic and neurologic conditions
- Performs range of motion, strength, and functional task assessments
- Applies taping techniques for stabilization, facilitation, or inhibition of movement
- Administers therapeutic modalities including ultrasound, interferential, and iontophoresis
- Uses a therapy-specific EMR for documentation and charging
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy required
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
- Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) through the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation required; license required if applicable
- Experience with therapy EMR documentation required
- Strong skills in patient screening, examination, and plan of care development required
- Effective communication and teaching skills for patients, families, and caregivers required
Additional Information
- Evaluates and treats patients of all ages, modifying plans of care as appropriate
- Serves as a clinical resource and role model for staff and students
- Designs individualized plans of care integrating goals, treatment, and discharge planning
- Documents care in accordance with facility clinical process policy
- Communicates with referring providers regarding patient progress and treatment recommendations
- Monitors and provides feedback on care delivered by support personnel
- May complete annual education related to Hip and Knee Replacement Program compliance
- RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
- Radius rule of 50 miles applies; local candidates not accepted
- Returning workers must complete a 6-month break in service after 1 year of continuous assignment before returning
