Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN - Med/Surg for a 13-week travel assignment requiring WA or compact RN licensure and current BLS and ACLS certifications.
Details
- Work in the Rehab unit with floating to Med/Surg as needed
- Night shift schedule (18:00 - 07:00), 3x12s, 36 hrs/week
- No on-call responsibilities
- May be required to float between Mares and Central Campuses
- May be required to float in rotation between Mares Rehab and Mares Med/Surg units
- May be required to float as a sitter
Requirements
- Active WA State or Compact RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Must adhere to facility policies and unit specific standards of practice
- Must function within the guidelines of the Washington Nurse Practice Act
Additional Information
- Coordinate and provide high quality, compassionate patient care using the nursing process and unit standards
- Develop, implement, and reassess individualized patient care plans
- Administer medications and complete nursing procedures and treatments
- Continually evaluate discharge planning for appropriateness and educational needs
- Document care, assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately
- Perform holistic ongoing patient assessments and respond appropriately
- Delegate and oversee care provided by non-licensed assistive personnel
- Teach patients and families relevant health information in a timely manner
- Communicate and collaborate with all members of the healthcare team
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff per hospital policy
