Description
American Traveler is hiring a PACU RN for a 13-week travel assignment requiring ICU and PACU experience with a TX or compact RN license.
Details
- PACU unit located next to the OR on the 2nd floor of the main hospital
- 26-bed unit with varied day/night staffing including a charge nurse and float nurse on days, and closed on-call coverage of 2 PACU nurses at night
- Patient ratio of 1:2
- Uses Meditech EMR
- Supports general, neuro, oncology, orthopedic, and vascular surgical procedures
- Varied shift times including 9a-9p and 10a-10p
- On-call required one night per week and two weekends during the 13-week contract
- Floating to Day Surgery required
- Block scheduling not available
Requirements
- Active TX or compact RN license
- ACLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of recent PACU experience required
- ICU experience required
- US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration (no Canadian SSN accepted)
- One professional reference required (two required for Florida or Missouri candidates)
- No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Provide post-anesthesia recovery care across a variety of surgical specialties
- Follows ASPAN guidelines
- Scrub attire required in royal blue or hospital scrubs
- State-of-the-art equipment with an experienced and supportive staff team
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
