Description
American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring 1 year of specialty experience and Meditech EMR proficiency.
Details
- Ortho Neuro Med Surg unit on the 3rd floor of Tower B
- 30-bed unit with approximately 31.2 FTE staff
- Patient ratio of 1:5
- Uses Spine and Ortho braces as specialized equipment
- Common procedures include total knees, laminectomy, VP shunt revision, fusions, total hip, ORIF, and ACDF
- Uses Meditech EMR
- Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Floating to other Med Surg units required
- 4 weekends required within a 4-week period
Requirements
- Active TX or compact RN license required
- BLS certification required
- 1 year of recent Med Surg experience required
- Meditech EMR experience required
- Certification and Spine/Ortho background preferred
- No gaps in work history equaling 90 days or more in the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Strong teamwork skills valued on this unit
- Scrub color/attire is Royal Blue
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
