Description

American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for the Emergency Department requiring TNCC certification and 1 year of related nursing experience.

Details

Emergency Care unit within a hospital setting
13-week assignment with full-time night shift schedule, 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM

Requirements

Active RN license in TX or compact
Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA only) required
Current TNCC certification required
1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred
BSN preferred

Additional Information

Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness
Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided
Assess learning needs and provide education to patients and families
Newly hired experienced RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire
Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius to qualify for the travel rate
Previous CHRISTUS Health employees must be separated for at least 6 months system-wide prior to starting a travel assignment
