Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring TNCC certification and TX or compact RN licensure.
Details
- Hospital Emergency Care unit setting
- 13-week assignment with 12-hour day shifts from 6AM to 6PM
- Full-time schedule
Requirements
- Active RN license (TX or compact)
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC (AHA only for BLS/ACLS/PALS)
- 1 year of experience in emergency nursing preferred
- BSN preferred
Additional Information
- Provide nursing care across assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned ED patients
- Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness
- Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
- Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
- Provide patient and family education as needed
- New hires are precepted and must complete organizational and ED-specific competency validation
- Must reside within 50 miles for local candidate consideration
- Candidates who previously worked at any CHRISTUS facility must have a 6-month separation period before starting a new travel assignment
