Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring charge nurse experience and AWHONN fetal monitoring certification.

Details

Work in the Labor & Delivery unit of a 12-bed hospital facility
Patient ratio of 2:1
Circulate C-section procedures
Night shift schedule from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
4 weekend shifts required per month
No on-call requirements
Floating required as needed
Unit supported by a unit tech on each shift and a unit secretary on day shift
Uses Meditech documentation system

Requirements

Active TX RN license or compact license required (temporary license not accepted)
Minimum 2 years of recent L&D experience required
Charge nurse experience required and must be willing to work charge
Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP, Fetal Monitoring (AWHONN)
RNC certification preferred
Meditech experience preferred
No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

Facility provides scrubs
Must maintain a professional appearance with clean, neutral nail polish and natural hairstyles
Visible body art must be covered when feasible
No visible piercings other than ears permitted
Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates will not be considered
