Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a night shift assignment requiring CA RN licensure and ICU-specific critical care skills.
Details
- Work in the Intensive Care Unit of a hospital setting
- 1:2 patient ratio
- Night shift, 3x12-Hour schedule (19:00-07:30)
- Uses Epic charting system
- Care for a wide range of critical care patients including cardiovascular, neurological, respiratory, and renal cases
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required
- Current certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS, and NIHSS
- MAB Training required
- Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required
- Epic charting experience required
- Experience with ventilator management, arterial line management, central line care, and titration of cardiac/vasoactive drips
- Experience with IV therapy, blood product administration, and PICC line management
- Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
- Previous charge nurse experience preferred
Additional Information
- Demonstrates leadership and critical thinking in daily ICU patient care activities
- Provides individualized, age-specific nursing care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams and advocates for patients and families
- Maintains accurate and thorough patient care documentation
- Must reside within a 50-mile radius for consideration at the local rate
- Returning travelers must have a 1-year separation before reapplying
- Maximum RTO is 7 days per contract, with only 1 holiday request permitted
- Holiday coverage includes New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day
- First-time travelers are not required for this role
