Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Telemetry RN for a community hospital setting, requiring active CA RN licensure and proficient rhythm interpretation skills.

Details

• Acute care Telemetry unit in a community hospital setting
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Day shift, 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Tele experience required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Graduate from an accredited nursing school required, BSN preferred
• Proficiency in telemetry rhythm interpretation, including recognition of common arrhythmias and appropriate escalation
• Recent experience initiating, titrating, monitoring, and documenting cardiac and critical care drips (Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Lasix, Insulin, Heparin)
• Travel nursing experience required
• Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred

Additional Information

• Deliver holistic, individualized nursing care including assessment, care planning, and patient/family education
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, families, and the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Must reside within a 50-mile radius to be eligible for the local rate
• Returning employees must have a minimum 1-year separation before returning as a traveler
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, with only 1 holiday request permitted
• Holiday coverage required for New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas
