Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Telemetry unit position requiring a CA RN license and recent cardiac drip titration experience.

Details

• Work on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit in an acute care hospital setting
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Epic charting system experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Graduate from an accredited nursing school required, BSN preferred
• Minimum 1 year of current Med/Tele experience required
• Minimum 2 years of overall nursing experience required
• Proficiency in telemetry rhythm interpretation, including recognition of arrhythmias such as A-fib, A-flutter, SVT, VT, PVCs, and PACs
• Recent clinical experience initiating, titrating, monitoring, and documenting Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Lasix, insulin, and Heparin drips
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred

• Deliver holistic, individualized nursing care including patient/family education and transitions of care
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to ensure effective communication and continuity of care
• Develop and implement comprehensive care plans addressing psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors
• Maintain patient privacy and adhere to PHI protection standards
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius to qualify for travel rate; local candidates accepted at local rate
• Returning travelers must have a 1-year separation before reapplying
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, with only 1 holiday request approved per contract
• Holiday coverage required for New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day
• Must complete required lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing
