Description
American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift position on a 42-bed orthopaedic unit requiring MO or compact RN licensure and Trauma Level II experience.
Details
- 42-bed Medical Surgical unit specializing in post-operative orthopaedic cases, trauma, ortho spine, medicine, and plastics
- Night shift (3x12 hours), 19:00-7:30
- Day ratios 1:5-6, night ratios 1:6
- Every other weekend required
- Floating required, including to MS/Tele units
- 50% holiday coverage required
- 36 or 48 hour contracts available
- Cerner charting system preferred
Requirements
- Active MO or Compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
- BLS required, ACLS preferred
- Minimum 1 year of experience required
- Trauma Level II experience required, Trauma Level I experience preferred
- Teaching hospital and LTAC experience preferred
- Previous charge experience preferred
- Ability to ambulate, reach, and move objects weighing up to and over 20 lbs
Additional Information
- Provide post-surgical and medical-surgical nursing care across orthopaedic, trauma, ortho spine, and plastics patient populations
- Work in a 24/7 healthcare facility with potential exposure to contagious illnesses
- Rotating shifts and work during inclement weather may be required
- First-time travelers will be considered
- Local candidates accepted, though those within 50 miles are not eligible and local rates apply for those residing 51-74 miles away
- Local candidates will not be eligible for extensions beyond the initial contract
- Maximum RTO of 10 days, with no time off permitted during the first week due to orientation
