Description
American Traveler is hiring an Emergency Department RN with at least 2 years of ED experience and NC or compact RN licensure required for a night shift travel assignment.
Details
- General Emergency Department treating combined adult/pediatric patients
- Patient ratios of 1:4-5 depending on staffing and volume
- Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 7p-730a
- Required to work 2 weekend shifts or 4 weekend days per 6 weeks
- Holiday coverage required as needed
- No on-call responsibilities
- May be floated to any campus within the health system
- EPIC EMR experience required
Requirements
- Active RN license (NC or Compact) required in hand at time of consideration
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience required
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
- Preferred certifications: CPI, PALS, TNCC
- EPIC charting system experience required
- Previous Charge RN experience preferred
- Level II Trauma Center experience preferred
- Skills in IV therapy/phlebotomy, starting and maintaining IVs, and dysrhythmia interpretation
- Experience with triage, isolation precautions/PPE, and cardiac monitoring
Additional Information
- Provide emergency nursing care across general adult and pediatric populations, including trauma, cardiac, neurological, and orthopedic cases
- All RNs must pass a compliance EKG exam with up to two attempts allowed
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rate
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- RTO must be submitted with the initial application; post-submission RTO requests are not accepted
