Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a NICU/PEDS position requiring RRT certification and NICU experience at a hospital in Rapid City, SD.
Details
- Respiratory Therapy department caring for pediatric critical care, neonatal critical care, and general inpatient respiratory patients
- 260-280 bed facility
- Rotating or straight night shifts on 12/6 hour variable schedules, 36 hours per week (72 hours per pay period)
- Every other weekend rotation with applicable holiday coverage required within contract dates
- May float for RT coverage throughout the hospital and ED, but not to other facilities unless specifically hired for that
- Possible on-call responsibilities depending on specific job requisition, including Home Health call rotations and coverage at affiliated facilities
- Uses EPIC charting system and Omnicell
- Works with ventilators including Draeger V500 and Savina 300, 3100A Oscillator, and Hamilton C1/MRI
- Uses ResMed APAP, CPAP, Bi-level, Airvo2 High flow devices, Cough Assist, Incourage vest, ABL90 Blood gas machines, IPV, and Praxair iNO
Requirements
- RRT certification required (CRT not accepted)
- AA Degree required
- Minimum 2 years of experience required
- NICU experience required
- Critical care and general respiratory care experience required
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- NRP certification required for NICU assignments
- South Dakota RCP License required prior to submission, if applicable
- EPIC charting experience required
Additional Information
- Provide respiratory care across NICU, PICU, and general inpatient settings
- Supported by Charge RT/Respiratory Clinical Specialist available 24/7, along with supervisors, manager, and director
- Facility-specific orientation provided at start of assignment
- First-time travelers considered upon manager review with strong experience
- Pewter colored scrubs required
- Free parking available
- Time off requests of up to 7 days may be accommodated with contract extension; no time off approved during the first three weeks of August
- 100 mile radius rule applies; local candidates not accepted
