Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a Level I Trauma center requiring prior travel and ortho experience with a TN or compact RN license

Details

• Medical Surgical Ortho unit within a Level I Trauma, short term acute care hospital
• Night shift schedule, 4x12 hours from 19:00 to 7:00
• Team nursing ratio of 1:12, split between 2 RNs, 2 LPNs, a Charge nurse, and a Med nurse
• Weekend rotation required as needed
• On-call required as needed
• Floating may occur between like units and campuses within a 20-mile radius
• Weekend block scheduling may be considered

Requirements

• Active TN RN license or compact RN license compliant with NLC guidelines required
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience required, 3+ years preferred
• Prior ortho experience required
• Level I Trauma center experience required
• Large hospital experience required
• At least 1 completed prior travel assignment required
• ADN accepted for this position
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration
• Vaccination status required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide medical surgical and orthopedic nursing care within a Level I Trauma center setting
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
• Local candidates must reside at least 100 miles from the facility to be considered
• Former permanent staff and travelers must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning
• If Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's all fall within the assignment, must work 2 of the 3 holidays
• If only 2 of these holidays fall within the assignment, must work at least 1 of the 2
• All requested time off must be submitted prior to offer, as RTO submitted after an offer will not be approved
