Description

American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg Tele RN with 2+ years of recent experience and prior travel assignment history for a 13-week day shift contract.

Details

• Med/Surg Tele unit functioning as an overflow unit for post-surgical and observation patients
• Patient ratio of 1:6/7
• Unit transitioning to a team nursing model with LPN support
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• On-call required as needed
• Weekend shifts required as needed
• May float between like units and campuses within a 20-mile radius

Requirements

• Active RN license (TN or compact) in compliance with NLC guidelines required, pending licensure not accepted
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience required, 3+ years preferred
• At least 1 completed prior travel assignment required
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Telemetry skills preferred
• IV start skills required
• ADN accepted for this position
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
• Driver's license copy required for consideration
• Vaccination status required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care on a Med/Surg Tele overflow unit handling post-surgical and observation cases
• Holiday coverage required: if Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's all fall within the assignment, must work 2 of the 3; if 2 holidays fall within the assignment, must work at least 1
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Former permanent staff or travelers must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning
• Local candidates must reside at least 100 miles from the facility to be considered
• All requested time off must be submitted at time of application, as RTO requested after an offer is made will not be honored
