Description
American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for a 44-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital, requiring 2+ years of experience with a strong preference for IRF background.
Details
- Inpatient rehabilitation hospital setting treating adults recovering from stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, amputation, cardiac, and orthopedic conditions
- Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday with occasional weekends (2-3 weekend days per month)
- Typical caseload of 6-7 patients daily
- Facility has 44 beds
- EHR system used is UDS
- No call requirements
- May be required to float to other CRHN and CRHW locations as needed
Requirements
- Current OT license required (license required if applicable)
- Minimum 2+ years of experience preferred
- BLS certification required
- Graduate of an accredited OT program
- Previous IRF experience highly preferred
- Adult IRF experience strongly preferred; candidates with only outpatient, school, or acute care experience are not a strong fit
Additional Information
- Work within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment focused on short length of stay and discharging patients home
- Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team
- Facility is accredited by The Joint Commission and CARF-accredited for Comprehensive Integrated Inpatient Rehabilitation and Stroke Specialty Programs
- Scrubs of any color except navy blue are required
- Candidates must reside outside a 60-mile radius of the facility
- Candidates who worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
- Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time
