Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN with NY licensure, 2+ years of experience, and SCU/ED background for a night shift assignment at a critical-access hospital.

Details

• Med/Surg unit in a 25-bed critical-access hospital setting
• Patient population is primarily adult with a rare pediatric presence
• Common diagnoses include CHF, COPD, syncope, non-STEMI, DKA, wound issues, THR, TKR, lumbar surgery, general surgery, and COVID
• RN to patient ratio is typically 7:1, occasionally 8:1
• Night shift schedule, 7p-7a, 3 shifts per week, 12-hour shifts
• No on-call requirements
• Uses Soarian EMR system

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required
• BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience required
• SCU and ED experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Charge or supervisor experience preferred

Additional Information

• Hospital serves a rural population across Madison, Onondaga, Chenango, and Oneida counties
• Candidates must reside outside a 75-mile radius to qualify for travel rate
• ASAP start required
• 13-week contract length
