Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with CNOR and prior travel experience to support a high-volume surgical unit requiring call coverage.
Details
- Operating Room unit within a hospital setting
- 1:1 patient ratio
- Day shift schedule, 4x10-hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
- Float required between the main facility and the Heart Hospital (0.2 miles apart)
- Call required 4-5 shifts per 6-week period, including weekends
- Supports a wide range of surgical specialties including neurology, orthopedics, general surgery, urology, ENT, podiatry, ophthalmology, and robotic surgery
Requirements
- Active RN license (NM or Compact) required, pending license accepted if obtained prior to start
- Current certifications: BLS required; ACLS, PALS, and CNOR preferred
- Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Epic charting experience preferred
- Experience with a broad range of surgical procedures across multiple specialties
Additional Information
- Provide perioperative nursing care across a wide variety of surgical specialties and procedures
- Floating expected to like units within scope based on facility needs, with brief unit orientation provided
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates not accepted
- Previous staff must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
- No travel pairs or groups accepted
- Limited RTO auto-approval, with no RTO permitted during the first week of orientation
