Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 2+ years of ER experience and prior travel experience.
Details
- Combined Adult/Pediatric Emergency Department setting
- Patient ratios of 1:2-3
- Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00 PM-7:00 AM)
- Required to work every other weekend
- Floating within scope required to meet facility needs
- Open to block scheduling
- Meditech charting experience preferred
Requirements
- Active RN license (OK or compact) required
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and a de-escalation course
- Minimum 2 years of ER experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Skills required include IV therapy, phlebotomy, and central line care/management
- Experience with arterial line management, blood product administration, and procedural sedation preferred
- Experience in Level II Trauma Centers, STEMI-certified, and Stroke-certified facilities preferred
- Teaching hospital experience preferred
Additional Information
- Provide emergency care for a wide range of cases including shock/trauma, gunshot wounds, traumatic amputations, head injuries, and cardiac emergencies
- Manage and interpret cardiac dysrhythmias and respond to emergency cardiac events
- Perform triage and maintain isolation precautions/PPE protocols
- Experience with ortho trauma and general orthopedics beneficial
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
- Local candidates are not considered; a 45-mile radius applies for eligibility
- No RTO restrictions
