Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN for a 13-week acute care hospital assignment requiring on-call availability and a CA RN license.
Details
- Operating Room unit in an acute care hospital with 212 staffed beds
- Variable 12-hour day shifts covering Sunday through Saturday, including 0630-1900, 0930-2200, and 1030-2300 schedules
- On-call responsibilities required, estimated 70-90 hours per 6-week period, including weekend and holiday on-call coverage
- Facility may call off shifts up to once per two-week pay period
- Uses Epic EMR system
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required
- BCLS certification required, ACLS preferred
- Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience required, 3 years preferred with relevant surgical procedure experience
- Weekend shifts required as scheduled
- Pending licenses not accepted
Additional Information
- Navy blue scrubs required for RNs; OR scrubs are provided
- Free parking available on-site
- Floating between facilities within the state may be required
- Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
- Minimal RTO accommodated at time of consideration
- First-time travelers are not considered for this position
