Description
American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for a night shift assignment requiring ventilator and tracheostomy management experience and an active CA RN license.
Details
- Telemetry unit in an acute care hospital setting
- Patient ratio of 1:4
- Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM-7:30 AM)
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call requirements
- Float to med surg required
- May also be required to float to an additional Providence facility in the same region
- Charting system used is Meditech
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of telemetry nursing experience required
- Experience with ventilated patients and tracheostomy management required
- Pending licenses not accepted
Additional Information
- Provide telemetry-level nursing care including monitoring and management of ventilated and tracheostomy patients
- Any scrub color permitted
- Free parking available on site
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not apply within 50 miles of the facility
- RTO must be submitted at time of application
- Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius

Pros
Providence LCM is a small community hospital with a great team and team work. I enjoyed working every single day with my pod buddies, ER physicians and charge nurse. Everyone is so helpful, you will find a resource nurse and break nurse who is constantly helping out nurses with critical patients. They always keep in consideration about the patient nurse ratio.
Cons
You will do self scheduling but it’s not guaranteed that you will get all the days, manager tries her best to keep in consideration of your days that you need.
