Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an Inpatient Rehabilitation unit requiring 1+ year of experience and BLS certification.
Details
- Medical Rehabilitation Unit located within a Trauma hospital
- Primarily serves stroke patients, approximately 40% of caseload
- Patient ratio of 1 to 5, typically 3-4 patients per day at 90 minutes per session
- Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, Monday-Friday 7:00am-4:30pm
- No weekend, on-call, or floating requirements
- Uses Cerner for charting
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience required
- BLS certification required
- WV PT license required prior to start (pending license accepted); license required if applicable
- Cerner charting experience preferred
- Geriatrics and Neurology experience preferred
- Management or lead experience preferred
Additional Information
- Open to first-time travelers with sufficient experience
- Scrub colors other than blue, forest green, or maroon required to differentiate from nursing staff; unit T-shirts provided
- Flu vaccine required during flu season (October 1 - March 31) unless medical exemption documented; not required outside this window
- COVID vaccine not required
- Former permanent employees must wait 2 years from last permanent employment date before returning as a traveler
- Current Vandalia Health System employees (including affiliated facilities) are not eligible for travel contracts within the health system
- No RTO restrictions
