Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position at a Level 1 trauma center requiring Epic experience and a VA or compact RN license.
Details
- Level 1 trauma center emergency department serving adult patients
- Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00
- Every other weekend (EOW) required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
Requirements
- Active VA or compact RN license required
- Current BLS and other applicable certifications required
- Minimum of 12 months of experience in the ER setting required
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ACEN or CCNE); diploma, Associate's, or BSN accepted
- BSN preferred
- Must not exceed 40 hours per week unless approved by unit manager
- Fingerprinting required per Virginia state code 37.1-183.3, with results pending prohibiting start date
- 2 professional references at supervisor level or above required
- License verification through NURSYS or equivalent required
Additional Information
- Provide emergency nursing care within a high-acuity Level 1 trauma center
- Candidates must not have been VCU Health employees within the previous twelve (12) months
- Facility maintains a drug, tobacco, and smoke-free workplace, with no smoking permitted on campus
- Facility enforces a natural nail policy
- Time-off requests must be submitted with application; holidays are not guaranteed off
