Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Labor & Delivery RN for a night shift Birth Center role requiring strong L&D skills including fetal monitoring, C-section circulating, and baby catching.
Details
- Work in a 20-bed Birth Center with 12 L&D beds, 8 PP/AP beds (3 OB/ED rooms, 2 ORs), and a 6-bed Level II NICU
- 12-hour night shift schedule, 36 hours per week
- No on-call requirements
- NP available on call for support
Requirements
- Active WA or compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience
- Current BLS, NRP, and fetal monitoring certifications
- Must be comfortable with/have some exposure to postpartum care
- Proficient in cervical exams, antepartum and labor care, amnio infusions, epidurals, fetal monitoring, IVs, and Pitocin administration
- Able to circulate C-sections and perform baby catching/receiving
- Knowledge of APGAR scoring and breastfeeding support
- Epic EMR experience strongly preferred
- Scrub tech experience a bonus but not required
Additional Information
- Strong preference for comfort with all aspects of postpartum care from transition through discharge for mom and baby
- Scrub-trained RNs occasionally used to cover sick calls
- Teal scrubs provided
- Multilingual skills (Russian/Spanish) preferred due to patient population served
