Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift position requiring 2+ years of recent travel experience and TX or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Medical Surgical unit setting
• Night shift schedule (3x12 or 4x12 hours, 19:00-07:00) on an alternating 36/48 hour schedule
• Patient population requiring IV therapy, phlebotomy, port access/management, and blood product administration
• Cardiac and telemetry monitoring with rapid response/code team involvement
• Respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP management, nasal cannula, and oxygen administration
• Medication management including Heparin, insulin, non-titrated cardiac/vasoactive drips, and PCA

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required in-hand
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS preferred
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Minimum 2 years of recent travel nursing experience required
• Isolation precautions/PPE knowledge required
• Must be available to complete required labs within 72 hours of accepting offer or have a plan in place

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care on a Med/Surg and MS/Tele unit, including IV therapy and cardiac monitoring
• Facility conducts its own onsite drug screening, including marijuana testing, with a positive result resulting in automatic cancellation
• Candidates should avoid any substances, including CBD products, that could result in a positive drug screen
• Must reside outside a 110-mile radius of the facility as local candidates are not accepted
• RTO must be submitted with candidate profile
