Description

American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery Recovery PP RN for a night shift assignment requiring a KY or compact RN license and BLS certification.

Details

• Work in the Obstetrics unit providing Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) care
• Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week
• 36 hours per week on a 0.9 FTE schedule

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted KY or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• ADN or ASN required, BSN preferred
• AWHONN FHM, STABLE, ACLS, and NRP certifications required within 6 months of hire
• No prior nursing experience required, though previous nursing experience is preferred
• Ability to assess age-specific patient safety needs and implement appropriate safety measures
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with interdisciplinary care team

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive nursing assessments, care planning, and treatment implementation for L&D, recovery, and postpartum patients
• Facilitate admissions, transfers, discharges, and patient/family education
• Collaborate with case management and interdisciplinary team to coordinate discharge planning
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives and core measure tracking
• Must reside within 75 miles of the facility; local candidates accepted at a lower rate
