Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring proficiency with the Da Vinci Xi robotic system and Level II trauma experience.
Details
- Operating Room setting within a Level I Trauma teaching hospital
- Day shift, 4x10 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- Call requirements of 2-3 calls within a 6 week matrix with 30-minute response time required
- Weekend requirements of 3-4 shifts within a 6 week matrix, which may fall on days, evenings, or nights
- Holiday coverage required as needed, which may include day, evening, or night shifts
- Floating required as needed
- 1:1 patient ratio
- May care for COVID-positive patients
Requirements
- Active RN license (PA or Compact) with no license disciplinary actions accepted
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 3 years of experience, with at least 2 years out of orientation
- Level II Trauma experience required, Level I Trauma experience preferred
- Teaching hospital experience required
- Previous travel experience required
- Epic charting experience required
- Must function independently with no refresher training needed on the Da Vinci Xi robotic system; familiarity with the DV5 Da Vinci robot is a plus
- Proficient in robotic general, gynecologic, thoracic, and urology specialties
- Must function independently across multiple specialties including orthopedics, general surgery, GYN, urology, bariatrics, ENT, plastics, vascular, and thoracic (excluding cardiac and open heart)
- Preference given to RNs able to both scrub and circulate
Additional Information
- Provide perioperative nursing care across a wide range of surgical specialties in a high-acuity trauma setting
- Tobacco and fragrance free facility
- Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract
- Must reside within 50 miles for local candidate consideration at a reduced rate
- Travel pairs may be submitted together, though matched schedules cannot be guaranteed
