Description
American Traveler is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist with neuro patient population experience for a day-shift assignment.
Details
- Outpatient PT setting treating neuro patient populations
- Common diagnoses include Parkinson's, MS, ALS, stroke, and spinal cord injury, with some oncology cases
- Day shift, 5x8-hour schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Will float to the inpatient mental health unit once or twice weekly to perform new patient evaluations
Requirements
- CA PT license required if applicable
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience required
- Experience with neuro patient populations required
Additional Information
- Responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing individualized rehabilitative treatment programs to improve mobility, relieve pain, and address disabling conditions
- Develops and updates patient plans of care based on evaluation findings and documents all treatment and charge capture per established standards
- Provides clinical supervision to assistants and aides and may serve as a clinical instructor for assigned students
- Coordinates care with other providers and support staff while maintaining compliance with privacy, safety, and regulatory standards
- Accepts local candidates at a local rate; must reside within a 50-mile radius
- Returning employees must have a 12-month separation before returning as a traveler
- Maximum RTO is 7 days per contract, with only 1 holiday request permitted per contract
