Description
American Traveler is hiring a Mammography Technologist with 2+ years of experience and ARRT(M), ARRT(R) certification for an outpatient setting.
Details
- Outpatient mammography setting
- 5x8 day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
- Uses Cerner EMR
- Performs 3-D mammography, diagnostic and screening mammograms, digital mammography, fine needle aspiration, needle localizations, stereotactic biopsy, and prone/upright biopsies
- Uses Hologic 3D and Hologic Affirm BX imaging and biopsy equipment
Requirements
- ARRT(M), ARRT(R), and BLS certification required
- MD Radiographer License required if applicable
- Minimum 2 years of experience in mammography required
- Minimum of 1 completed travel assignment required unless candidate has complete mammo competency
- Cerner EMR experience required
- Teaching and community hospital experience preferred
- Proficiency in radiation safety and digital quality assurance procedures preferred
Additional Information
- Perform a range of mammography procedures including diagnostic, screening, and 3-D mammography, biopsies, and needle localizations
- Flu vaccine required for all employees
- Local candidates accepted at a lower rate within 60 miles
- No RTO permitted during the first two weeks of assignment, with a maximum of 7 days permitted per 13-week contract
- Candidates with previous employment at this health system must have been separated for at least one year before returning as a traveler
