Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position on 3rd Floor nights, requiring TN or compact RN licensure and recent specialty experience.

Details

• Med/Surg unit with 25 beds
• Patient ratios of 5-6:1 on days and 6:1 on nights
• Unit staffed with a unit secretary and 2-3 PCTs on days, 2-3 PCTs on nights
• Uses equipment including Sara Steady lift, wound vac, TeleHealth, virtual sitter equipment, and remote telemetry
• Charting completed in Meditech
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Required to work every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday) with flexible weekdays
• Floating required on a PRN basis, primarily between Med/Surg units

Requirements

• Active TN or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required
• NIH Stroke Certification and CPI preferred
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Strong assessment skills required
• Experience with IV pumps and Pyxis medication dispensing cabinets required
• Competency in IV insertion and foley catheter placement required
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Perform patient care duties including hourly rounding and BSSR patient experience standards
• Required dress code of black or royal blue scrubs
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, no local candidates accepted
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration, Canadian SSNs not accepted
