Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an ICU position requiring night shift coverage and advanced critical care skills including hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management.

Details

• 10-bed ICU unit within a Level III trauma facility
• General Intensive Care specialty with adult patients 18 and older, with rare pediatric post-op cases
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Common diagnoses include COPD exacerbation, DKA, atrial fibrillation, pre/post heart catheterization, and septic shock
• Equipment used includes Baxter pump, GE bedside monitor, and Arjo beds
• Meditech EHR system
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Rotating weekend requirements, every other weekend
• Call requirements are census dependent
• Floating requirements are census dependent

Requirements

• Active TN or compact RN license required
• Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and PALS
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Experience with advanced hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, vasoactive drips, and cardiac support required
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to ICU patients including hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management
• Work alongside a supportive ICU team under the Clinical Manager
• Any color scrubs accepted; street clothes and apparel bearing another hospital's name are not permitted
• Candidates must live 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
• Must not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full-time while on assignment
