Description
American Traveler is hiring a Vascular Technologist with current RVT or RVS registry and at least one year of experience to perform diagnostic vascular ultrasound examinations.
Details
- Full-time 3x12 schedule on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, 6:00 AM-6:30 PM
- 13-week assignment in a diagnostic imaging/vascular lab setting
- Performs diagnostic vascular examinations as ordered by physicians
- Assists physicians with special vascular lab procedures
Requirements
- Active state license required if applicable
- BLS certification required
- ARDMS (RVT) certification preferred or CCI (RVS) certification required; registry within 90 days of hire accepted
- Minimum of 1 year experience required; 2 years preferred under supervision of a qualified vascular physician or lab
- Graduate of an accredited vascular technology program
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Must be able to safely transport, move and position patients
- Medium work physical demand: exerting up to 20-50 lbs occasionally and 10-25 lbs frequently
Additional Information
- Operates vascular lab equipment and medical imaging/record systems
- Assists in precepting students and new employees
- Maintains compliance with IAC standards and departmental policies
- Responsible for patient safety and comfort during procedures
- Assists with maintenance of departmental supplies and equipment cleaning/disinfection
- Works collaboratively with physicians, staff, and patients' families
- First-time travelers may be considered
